Course #3

Evaluation and Documentation

The objective of this course is to present a methodical approach to trading, aiming to enhance your skills. The key question we address is: How can we refine our trading abilities without documenting and evaluating each trade?

  1. Document the process during the trade.

  2. Analyze risk to reward in detail.

  3. Maintain a comprehensive record of all trades taken.

  4. Conduct a thorough review of each trade immediately and 24 hours later.

  5. Scrutinize both mistakes and successes, emphasizing strengths and weaknesses to pinpoint areas for improvement.

Documenting your day trades offers numerous advantages:

  1. Improving Performance: A trade record facilitates performance review, enabling you to identify behavior patterns and refine your strategy.

  2. Tracking Progress: By documenting trades, you can monitor your progress over time and assess your success as a trader.

  3. Maintaining Discipline: Recording trades helps in adhering to your trading plan, promoting discipline.

  4. Facilitating Reflection: Trade documentation allows reflection on emotions and thoughts during trades, leading to more informed decisions in the future.

  5. Compliance: Documentation may be essential for tax purposes or to comply with regulatory requirements.

In summary, documenting your day trades aids in evaluating performance, tracking progress, maintaining discipline, reflecting on trades, and meeting compliance requirements.
